History of UPCSI

The UP chapter of cardiological society of india was formed in the year 1993 under the dynamic leadership of Prof. Savitri Shrivastra, HOD Cardiology, Sanjay Gandhi PGIMS, Lucknow and Prof. Mansoor Hasan, Prof & head, Cardiology, King George Medical College, Lucknow. Prof Savitri Shrivastava was chosen as the first president and Dr. Nakul Sinha as Honorary secretary of UPCSI.

Heart Failure

Heart failure is the inability of heart muscles to adequately pump blood in the body. There may be many causes for such weakness of the heart muscles, high blood pressure, coronary artery disease etc. 

Coronary Angioplasty

Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA) is a procedure used to widen (dilate) the narrowing in your coronary artery without having surgery. PTCA stands for Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty.
